Our mission
LenderBureau was built on a simple idea: borrowers deserve a review platform they can actually trust. Every review on our site is verified against real loan documentation before it goes live.
Most review platforms for financial services have a fundamental flaw: anyone can post anything. Lenders can seed their profiles with fake five-star reviews. Competitors can post fraudulent negative reviews. And because there's no verification, borrowers have no way to know which reviews are real.
For a decision as significant as a mortgage or personal loan — often the largest financial commitment of someone's life — this is a serious problem. Borrowers are making choices based on reviews they cannot trust, and they're paying for it.
LenderBureau was created to fix that.
Any borrower who has completed a loan can submit a review. They rate their experience and describe what happened — interest rate, responsiveness, closing speed, surprises.
The reviewer uploads a loan document — a closing disclosure, loan statement, approval letter, or settlement statement — that proves they actually had a loan relationship with that lender.
Our team reviews the proof document to confirm the loan relationship. If everything checks out, the review is published with a Verified badge. If not, it's rejected.
Every review requires proof of a real loan relationship. We reject reviews where the documentation doesn't match the lender or loan type claimed.
Lenders cannot pay to boost their ranking or suppress negative reviews. Rankings are determined purely by verified review scores.
Proof documents are never shared publicly or with the lender being reviewed. They are seen only by LenderBureau staff during verification and then stored securely.
Reviews remain on the platform permanently (unless removed for policy violations). Good lenders build lasting reputations. Bad lenders can't outrun theirs.
People shopping for a mortgage, home equity loan, personal loan, or refinance use LenderBureau to read verified experiences before committing to a lender. They also write reviews after closing to help the next borrower.
